The Last of Us 2 documentary reportedly reveals a PS5 prototype

Recently, Naughty Dog released a trailer for the documentary on the development of The Last of Us 2. In the trailer (at 1 minute and 32 seconds), a PS5 prototype was reportedly seen. The Last of Us 2 was released in 2020, and the game's development began as early as 2016. It is unclear when this clip was filmed.

Similar to previously leaked images, the suspected PS5 prototype in the video also has a V-shaped groove in the center, and the outer cooling vents are also clearly visible.

According to reports, the PS5 prototype has status 1/status 2, on/standby, reset, eject, system startup, network startup indicator lights, six USB ports, and an LED display. On the back, the prototype provides an HDMI port, two Ethernet ports, and an additional USB port.

The documentary will be released on January 19, after the release of the remastered game, to let fans see the inside story of Naughty Dog's game development, such as the team's experience of major leaks, the impact of the pandemic on game development, and the creative team's response to the potential controversy surrounding Joel's death.
