Palworld Overwhelmed by Player Surge: Emergency Meeting with Epic Games Held
Due to its overwhelming popularity, Palworld experienced significant server strain over the weekend, leading to connection issues for players attempting to join the game.
In a Discord announcement, Pocketpair’s community manager, Bucky, shared around 1 AM Pacific Time that over 700,000 concurrent players caused a problem with Epic Games' backend. An emergency meeting was promptly convened to address and improve these connection issues.
The official Twitter/X account also stated, "We held an urgent meeting with the Epic Games team to implement updates to the Epic Games backend swiftly. We've confirmed that this has resolved the connection errors and issues for co-op games hosted on Xbox and PC. You should notice improved connectivity, and errors should be resolved quickly."
