CS2 players frustrated by lack of updates, but some remain hopeful

Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), the sequel to the popular Counter-Strike series, has been in open beta since September 2022. Despite some improvements to the game, players have been frustrated by the lack of major updates in recent months.

In the past month, Valve has released three updates for CS2, but each update has been relatively minor. Two of the updates consisted of only one change each.

Players have expressed disappointment with the lack of new content, such as the Headshot Only, Arms Race, and Control game modes, as well as console commands such as cl_bob (arm movement) and cl_righthand 0/1 (hand orientation).

Some players remain hopeful that Valve is simply "preparing for something big." They point out that the current state of CS2 is not sustainable, and that Valve must be working on some major updates.

A recent poll found that 43.3% of players believe that the lack of updates is a sign that something big is coming.

Only time will tell whether Valve is planning a major update for CS2. In the meantime, players will have to be patient and wait to see what the future holds.
